Stuart is currently the leader of Corporate Real Estate at HSBC, enabling their fast-growing presence in Australia. While at HSBC, he has maximized flexibility and efficiency with Activity-Based-Working and Agile Projects while realizing significant improvements in employee engagement through a workplace transformation. As a result, HSBC won the 2017 Australian Business Award (ABA) and World Business Award (WBA) for Change Management for the Head Office relocation to Barangaroo Sydney.

Stuart previously managed a complex multimillion-dollar outsourcing joint venture with BPAY, for three of Australia’s largest banks, CBA, Westpac, and NAB, following 10-years in banking with NAB. He is practiced at leading strategic change and driving key business outcomes and applies this experience to ensure organizations realize their potential to generate strong economic returns that support valuable customer outcomes, community wellbeing, and social renewal.

Annabel Flynn

Head of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Services | Credit Union Australia (CUA)

Annabel has had a very varied career starting off as a lawyer, moving on to the design of maintenance and logistics bases for airships, to running large shared services, and designing and implementing technology solutions.

She has run numerous Transformation Programs across a multitude of industries including banking and finance, mining, government, and professional services.

Annabel is currently working at Credit Union Australia as the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Services. At CUA Annabel is focused on the design and build of the new Brisbane Headquarters for CUA.

Jose Fredes

Head of Property & Facilities | Teachers Mutual Bank

Jose is currently Head of Property & Facilities at Teachers Mutual Bank. He is responsible for asset management, site procurement, property development, purchasing, and disposal of property assets. He provides expert advice in property matters to the Executive and Board, covering 5 banks under the TMBL umbrella. Comprised of over 300,000 members and more than $9 billion in assets, Teachers Mutual Bank Limited is one of Australia’s largest mutual banks.

Jose holds an MBA specialising in Logistics & Supply Chain, Property Management, Facilities Management, and Interior Design qualifications.

Michael Hala

Associate Design | Axiom Workplaces

As Associate Design at Axiom Workplaces, Michael has more than 20 years of experience in interior design and architecture, along with extensive knowledge in strategic planning and critical decision making which has consistently led to intelligent workplace design outcomes.

He has worked globally on a wide range of commercial, industrial, retail, luxury residential, and government projects, and with a multitude of specialized consultants in the field.

Chief Operating Officer | Australian Banking Association

Vanessa is the Chief Operating Officer at the Australian Banking Association. She is responsible for working with member banks on developing the strategic direction of the ABA and supporting the CEO in providing leadership and operational management.
Vanessa brings over 25 years’ experience across the not for profit, government and corporate sectors. Vanessa previously held the position of the CEO for the YWCA NSW, and has also held executive roles in strategy, change management, cultural transformation and organisational development predominantly with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Vanessa is a Judge of the Eureka Prize and serves as a Non-Executive Director of Variety NSW/ACT (Children’s Charity) and of Driveabout World (an Edutech start-up).
