Damien Mu has more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian financial services industry, with management experience spanning operations, claims and underwriting, superannuation, investments, distribution, product, pricing, and marketing.

Damien’s career at AIA Australia began in 2007 holding various roles, including Head of Group Insurance, Chief Distribution and Marketing Officer, and General Manager – Life Insurance.

In 2014 Damien was appointed Chief Executive Officer and the company launched AIA Vitality, a world-leading health, and wellness program, to the Australian market. In 2017 AIA and its partners launched myOwn health, a new health insurance business, and further, AIA announced the acquisition of the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society Limited and a strategic bancassurance arrangement with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, subject to regulatory approvals. In 2018, AIA completed its acquisition of Sovereign Assurance Company Limited (now AIA New Zealand), and entered into a strategic bancassurance arrangement with ASB Bank, in New Zealand.

Damien is a director of AIA New Zealand, AIA Australia, MO Health Pty Ltd, the Financial Services Council (FSC), Co-Chair of the Life Board Committee, and Advisory Board member of the Shared Value Project. “

Bernadette Holloway is Executive Manager of Property at IAG, where she has been for just under 2 years after spending 6 years at Zurich. Her role at Zurich was Head of CRE Strategy, Programs & Projects – Australia & New Zealand where she was responsible for the successful delivery and customer satisfaction of all aspects of Corporate Real Estate Strategy, Programs and Projects within Australia and New Zealand for General Insurance and Global Life functions. She is a frequent speaker at multiple events and conferences, including Workplace Strategy Summit 2021, CoreNet Global Events, Next Generation Workplace, and XY Sense Future Offices.

She specialises in strategic planning, client briefing, all aspects of design through to delivery.

Cassandra has an extremely strong work ethic and commitment to any project, combining a high level of design skill with an ability to communicate with all parties in a manner that engages, uncovering the client’s needs, purpose and strategic goals, resulting in functional and inspiring spaces. She is a writer and regular expert presenter on the future of workplace at conferences such as Workplace Wellness Festival and Space IQ: Return Agile.

Kylie joined the Insurance Council in September 2020 to support the ICA deliver a strategic plan to guide the organisation and its priorities. Kylie has responsibility for the ICA’s Strategy, Risk, and Operations Teams including Human resource, Data & Analytics, and the ICA’s focus on mitigation, resilience, and recovery of the built environment – this includes coordinating the Insurance industries response to severe weather events.

Kylie has held executive and non-executive positions in financial services over the past 25 years and is dedicated to optimising public and private sector responses to rapidly changing environmental contexts with a focus on strategy, governance, innovation, and value creation.

Over the past six years, she has been at the forefront of Environmental and Social Governance (ESG), setting standards in organisational reporting conventions on climate, and developing multi-stakeholder approaches to social impact investment that are focused on producing shared outcomes and embed social license.
